A very good person who called me FRIEND was called to heaven yesterday.

Dang hard to let go of the good ones. I was blessed to have shared this life with him. He and I smoked together in the parking lot at every Jr High and HS basketball games even when neither of us had daughters on the court. He was a businessman. He was a great friend.

Here I was all bummed out about losing that calf yesterday and now find myself considering how blessed I am to have good health.
 
No matter wether its a good cow or calf, good pet, good friend, or a relative, it's never easy.

Sorry for your loss.
We all have acquaintances through life a good friend is hard to come by.
Hope he was called home quickly without suffering.
That is a blessing as well as we all have to make the journey.
 
Hate to hear that backhoeboogie--hard on all of us to have to go thru these things, and sounds like you and he shared some good times along life's way. I guess the Lord needed a friend right now too.
 
That sucks. A true friend is closer than family... You get to pick and choose friends but you're stuck with family.

I'm good. Pray for his family. He has a grandbaby on the way. Sounds like I am to be included in that life. We'll see how that goes when the time comes. It is an honor to be thought of that way by the family. Right now it is all just words. Maybe they are sincere.

Some of the best grandpa's aren't blood. ;)
 
Hate to hear you lost a good friend backhoe. I know as the times go on, and the older we get, the more friends, and family we lose.
Keep your chin up, and cherish the memories.
