Went to the barn and found a calf in a sloppy mud hole. Got everything ready and went to get the calf and got stuck in the mud and went splat again!
After a lot of cussing got the calf in and called hubby and told him that I can live without a new chicken house but I want a new calving barn out of that slop hole!!!!

He agreed!
Going to design it tonight!!!!

Deepsouth calving on one end and milking parlor on the other!

He said he does not want one as tall as this current one. Told him no problem.

You are a lucky gal!
Unfortunately around here, if I want something "new" I only have me, myself, and I, to make it happen. On the other side of the coin, I don't have to have anyone "agree" with me, other than me, myself, and I! :P
So I guess there are some advantages....... :D

Well he is getting tired of getting stuck in the mud too! :lol2:

Looking at this old barn and they built it with rough cut lumber, if only they had built it somewhere else besides down in that hole and in the hillside it would have lasted clear into our grandkids lifetimes. :(
