when i did do it when i try to brace them i smack them on there on tail nub and it will make them push aginest you, or you can make them back in to a wall or a stack of hay this will also make them push aginest you .

We were told to teach this way by our Extension Agent.
We had an trimming stand that the kids used to teach to lamb to push when showing. Stand on the stand with the lamb and push it backwards so that it will step off. The lamb will learn that it will fall when you push and it will push back. The lesson will transfer to the show ring.
We also had a rubber bungee cord tied to a beam in the stall ceiling that the lambs were tied to for 30 to 45 minutes daily. It was hung so that the if the lamb held it's head up, there was no pressure. If the lamb put it's head down, the bungee would pull it back to the correct position.
