I have a 9 mth old Belted Galloway heifer. She seems to have a good disposition. The last few weeks I have gotten her to eat out of my hands and in a bucket and be able to brush her all over. Mess with her tail and touch her all over and even her utter area. Which is amazing considering we've gone through two hurricanes and things haven't been normal here. I now have a good halter on her with a 5 foot lead rope attached. I eventually want her to be a milker. What's my next step I've seen videos for people just tie them up on a rope and let them fuss it out. I'm trying to be as gentle as possible, but I'm at a loss as what would be the best thing to do. I'm 65 and would prefer not to get hurt, as my body doesn't heal like it used to. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, or videos or books. I have several books, but they haven't been too helpful. Usually if I have a problem, I come here forget advice.
Thanks in advance.
