How much horsepower do I need?

This summer I'd like to build a strip tillage implement using anhydrous shanks. I won't be putting NH3 on with it just creating the strips and maybe putting 5 gallon of liquid fertilizer per acre on at that time. Sort of a "pop" up style of fertilizer program. I'd have a 200-300 gallon tank on the bar. I'd sidedress my nitrogen later after corn is just up. How much horsepower do you think I need for a 12 row 30 inch machine? I won't be going as deep nor pulling a heavy NH3 tank behind? Right now I have the option of 3 point or pull type as nothing has been built yet.

traction is everything, which is a large part of why you need bigger tractors for fieldwork... I think 25 hp per shank is a very generous estimate, since he's not going deep, and I don't think there's sod to contend with, 150 hp should pull 12 shanks in decent ground
