how much horse power

wanting to find out how much pto hp does it take to pull a 15 ft batwing type bush hog and also a 10 and 12 ft pull behind bush hog i would like to figure it like i was bush hogging pretty thick grass and brush

to pull those shredders. you wou;d need an 80 horse tractor. thats what we pull a 10ft heavy duty with. scott

Howdy,
Bushhog 2615 w/rings behind a JD 6400 90-95hp. Works nicely thru thick and thin. Hills too.

I have also pulled it behind my JD 5500 75hp, with rack and pinion with wheel weights and fluid filled tires. The hp is there, but gets a little touchy around hills and turning. :)

The others are correct. I would suggest 70 hp or higher for a 15' batwing.
