How much hay will this pasture yeild?

We have 7 acres in Alicia bermuda that we were thinking about baling into small squares, about 50-70 pounds each. The grass is about 12-14 inches high. We normally don't bale, but since we have the grass and hay is so high right now....

How many square bales - approximate - do you think we should expect from this pasture?

Your estimates will help me determine if I should contact my hay producer for square bales.

with 7acs you could make 20 to 30 sq bales to the ac.you say its 12 to 14 in tall.but how thick is it.so you could get 210 sq bales or more.

Alicia can get very thick. it tends to be a little steemeyt but still good hay. I have seen 60 bailes to the acre easy.

It hasn't been baled in 4 years, and then we got rounds off of it. I don't remember how many rounds we made, though. The neighbors' cows got into it early this summer and grazed it pretty good before we discovered them. It has rebounded, but some spots are patchy.
