How many Remember

? remains, why didn't they take Johnson out? he did as much or more harm to the country as anyone else.

8th grade study hall. The office put a microphone up to a radio and we all heard it on the intercom. School was dismissed and my mother picked me up. I saw Ruby shoot Oswald live in real time. Gez, what a weekend.

LBJ didn't screw the mob over, the mob put JFK in and took him and Bobby out.
They never found Hoffa either,JFK and RFK were messing with the Teamsters/Hoffa big time.
I don't know but it sure seems funny that Ruby with known mob ties takes Oswald out in the police station on live TV.

The Principal announced it on the intercom while my class was in the lunch line. I was in 1st grade in Dublin, Ga. We were dismissed early and my Mom picked me and my 3rd grade brother up. Got home and it was on TV. I remember thinking "As the World Turns" should be on now.

Crossing the street in front of the high school. My friend came up and told me. We all went into the school and they dismissed us for the day.

Now I'm feeling old! All of these replys about being in school at the time got to me.

Had Organic class just after the news. Seated next to my buddy who was from Texas.
Professor (yankee) came in and started a tirade about how backwards the South was. He topped it off by saying he just couldn't understand how some ignorant Texan could do this to our country.

My buddy put up with about as much as he could and then he spoke up, and said, "Maybe it was not done to our country, but for our country"

Mr.Dr. Professor didn't expect to be challenged. Much less in that way.
Class was dismissed.

Remember Kennedy being shot and where you were. Also remember Jack Ruby taking Oswald out, sat there and watch him shoot Oswald on TV.

I was riding on the back of Dad's shoulders going through a thicket of briars. My grandmother was out in the pasture honking the horn to get my Dad's a Grandad's attention. She never came out in the pasture much so everyone got concerned. She let them in on the news.

Saw Kennedy the day before in San Antonio. Was at Catholic/Military Private School. The nuns marched all of us to church to pray, did not get to go home. Something I will never forget.

Freshman HS English class, school dismissed. School was eerily quiet as everyone made their way to lockers and then to buses. Didn't go back til after the funeral.

Yea, CB. I remember. I was in armed forces then and making a service call on a ship moored in Biloxi, Ms. when the word came down. When I finished with the radar I drove back to the base in New Orleans. When I got there and went to my section I found a party going on. I could not believe my eyes. I asked them if they had heard that Kennedy had been shot and they said "heII yes, come join the party".

I think a lot of folks hated Kennedy, certainly a lot of folks in South Louisiana. I will never forget that day.

I think far more people liked him than disliked him, but then again I am not old enough. He must of made someone mad he ended up shot.

I was in the 4th grade in Kansas City (Raytown). They took us all into the library to watch it on TV. Most of the kids just wondered what was going on while most of the teachers were crying.
