How many deer in your feed yard?

Four residents that the LGD gives a pass on and she actually allows them to hide their babies by the woodshed and eat from the bales. She knows who is who cause she got after a buck and lone doe last fall. But eight were feeding in the field until the snow got too deep. We wish she would escort the resident deer away from the hay yard but alas! It’s the ravens these days getting in the oat and barley haylage…poke through the plastic that is a pain right now. We have found the deer don’t seem to like the haylage bales as much as dry hay and someone else mentioned alfalfa - they like and would agree with that. They tend to leave the grass hay alone but like alfalfa hay.
