Just wondering on a calf, how long before you stop using a standard (green round elastics) to castrate a cow? As long as you can get them in will they still work well?

Yes they'll work. Usually swell up significantly. Its best to hit them with a tetanus shot when you do it.

Once had someone insist on it when knife would have been better. Had to put lotion on them and pull them through one at a time. Thankfully it was only two head. It worked. Pretty extreme tho. Didn't have a California bander or else that would have been my choice for that situation.

I'm still looking :D You got me Tom.

Atleast he didn't say second calf heifer.

Jake referring to those old cows in jest as "last calf heifers" a couple of months back was a classic.
