We’ve been worried about a Jersey X bull getting in with our cows and found this one this morning. Registered Angus said to be 2 yrs this coming October.
Said to be a $10.500 bull.
Most expensive bull that’s ever been in our pasture and our 15 month old $3000 Hereford won’t let him breed anything

I like your Hereford a lot better. He has better conformation and he actually looks like a bull.

It seems that buying a high priced bull or cow is the thing to do now. Whether its actually any good or not.
I was at an Angus sale this spring and was sitting beside a young man who was on the phone with a friend. Neither knew anything about bloodlines, EPDs, or good cows in general. The young man beside me didn't even own cattle. He was bidding for the friend on the other end of the conversation. They bought a couple of older cows that weren't very good and gave around $3,500 each. They thought they had done well.

I like the Hereford bull better, that $10,500 bull looks more like a steer to me.
