How bigs your turkey

so this year our heaviest turkey was 35.10lbs and lowest was 25lbs sold 20 of them in between that range and we kept the largest lol. barely fits in our pan

Can't stand turkey. I mean, you can't even force me to eat it! Having steak myself for Thanksgiving...

I am with you Vicky.We usually have prime rib or rib eye for special holidays.This year we are doing up a 20lb chicken for a change to celebrate with family and friends.

A very good sandwich can be made from leftover turkey. White bread, mayonaise, and sliced dill pickle are all that is needed.

I forgot to say that smoked turkey is really delicious. Usually moist and tender even the white meat.

What's the difference between Canadian and American thanksgiving....I always thought it was at the end of November! Happy thanksgiving to the Canadians, if I have got it right. We only have Turkey at Easter and Christmas most traditionally it is a Christmas thing.

Canada and the USA do Thanksgiving on different dates, Chrisy. We share a continent, but not a culture. Although we do share the longest undefended border in the world. Canadians are weird.
They have Thanksgiving in October, just before 10 feet of snow buries them. It actually makes sense to me.

I don;t often give cooking advice, but if your turkey usn't too big, put it in one of those cooking bags. White meat will be tender. I've been cooking turkey, like that for years. Merry And I nearly forgot to say, the white meat will not be dry.

If you are roasting a big Turkey. Lay it on its breast for most of the cooking and turn for the last half hour to brown, The breast meat will be juicey and tender and it will be easy to carve just looks a bit flat......
