Id rebreed her and sell them as a 3-1. She isnt all that great looking. There is some money to be made at the asking price.
 
I don't think she's bad looking at all Hook. Granted the picture isn't that great and my laptop is about 5 years old with poor resolution but I kinda like her.

The little fella is cute as a button.
 
From what i can see she has no butt and looks to be funky teats, fine boned and a little post legged.
Im no expert but she isnt one id look to keep around unless im running an exceptionally good bull on her and she bred back easy and quick.
With that said any cow putting out and raising a good calf is bound to make money in the short term

Okay gang, I just checked her out on my IPhone and even after zooming in I still can't really make out the teats. For $1,000 I'd be tempted to buy 'em if I were in the area.
 
No it won't, Hook. I don't why the guy just doesn't haul her to the sale barn for what he's asking. Guess I was wanting to see if there was something I wasn't seeing so I could learn. Of course, I may see her in person and change my opinion of what she can do for me.
 
Should be able to see that the teats are set awful close. And there isnt any bag to speak of. Heres the caveat. If the guys needs money for hay or is willing to trade for hay she could be underfed and that would affect the amount of muscle and bag size.
 
He's not to far from me so he should still have something on the ground for them to be eating if he has any acreage. From what I'm seeing he has dead broom weeds and some winter grass, which ain't much good, but no ribs showing. Maybe a rescue mission? :lol:

You may have the better idea, but I'm looking for some freezer stuff down the road at the moment.
 
Teats look fine to me.....udder just looks totally empty. Probably needs something to eat. Bettin' she's gonna look like crap when you see her tho. Price says "pretty firm" so maybe he would come down a little bit. Every little bit helps.

Picture looks to show that calf pretty new so the bag on the first calf momma might just be funky looking until the calf gets the milk factory working evenly. I would be sure to verify that those vaccinations were done and the cow isn't going to bring any "bugs" home with her. Other than that looks like a pretty good deal?

Judging by sale barn reports, the price seems inline. Just really won't know until you see her in person. You can probably make it work tho.
 
You can't tell from those pics how she looks - especially a first calver.

I got $0.73 for an open cow that netted me $1000. If you need a cow, it's a good price. If you don't, it's not a bad price.
 
Looking on my I phone the first thing I saw was her bag Or lack there of . Looks like her teats are close together . Front ones apear to be facing fOrward . Go look at her in person . To me he should be hauling that old cow standing next to her if he needs money . I'm not sure about your sale prices but id say 850 is more in line if she's as healthy as she looks in the pics .unless the bag is bad . Jmo
