I had a six weight hit a woven fence I put up at full speed and the calf totally wrecked the fence but it sling shotted it back into the field. I guess I'm one of those glass half filled types because rather than admiring how well the fence held I was depressed thinking of how long it was going to take to stretch the thing back in place.

Jo, I understand, I may be the same way. I should have appreciated how ~ 60% were still in though the gates in 2 corners looked like they had been active participants in a monster truck event, and a 10 foot section in another area of wire panels was pretty much laying on the ground, 30 feet of barbwire across the road, and then a gate cattycorner across the road where a mama cow came through it to protect them- she was still upset well into the afternoon and did it again after we put her back, flattened and rewired the gate. :shock: So the gate is no longer a gate. But none of them were missing and definitely thankful for that. Just lost 3/4 of a day finding them on 4 places, resorting, fence work, a few really sore calves and a lame bull. As soon as the bull that was next to them isn't lame, I'll probably manage a chuckle.

I think my cattle have been watching wrestling on television cause a while back two of the bulls decided it would be cool to go in the crowding pen and have a cage match. I'm not about to type all the $hit they tore up and can't count how many boards these idiots busted but just think what a D8 would do if you let it loose in a china shop and you will have a good idea of what the pen looked like when they got finished with their little pi$$ing match.
