Horn knocked off

Found one of the Herf heifers that knocked off a horn. Bleeding stopped and the pulp is still intact. Dog found the horn and it is intact just looks like it was pulled off.
Wondering what other folks do when this happens...doesn't happen much around here and we usually just leave them alone and watch the cow since there is no hole in her head...yet.

Had that happen to a steer this year and we just let it be.

had a cow do that just yesterday. i dont do anything.

had a banana horn one do the a few weeks ago. glad she did i was fix'in to have to tip it anyway, it was headed toward he cheek. sometimes they shed the outer layer of the horn

yep.. happens sometimes... I just let it alone.. they heal on their own.
