I bought a Ritchey Hook Doctor recently and want to share how much I like it. It is great for grabbing shy, little calves. I thought it was a little pricey but now that I've used it a dozen times I think it's worth the money.

At about 1:08 on that video, most of my mommas would be right up my backside, magic hook or not.

we have one, and when we had not so friendly mommas we could snag a calf from the other side of the fence and drag them under it.
It has a new purpose now... It's great for grabbing the cherry tree branches and bending them down so you can get the fruit

One of those would get us killed here . We got cows that when they calve, we head and heel the cow then go tag the calf.
