Orange blossom honey is the sweetest. IMO Had some on hot biscuits tonight, and just thought I would pass that on.

I agree. It is my favorite and my mother's. Relatives used to bring it to us from Florida. It is hard to find now. The last I bought was at Savannah Bee Company. I buy Tupelo from a local apiary most of the time.

real tupelo honey is only produced in a few areas. The biggest producers are in wewahitchaka fl. A lot of honey is called tupelo but its not.

Orange blossom from florida and orange blossom from CA are two different things. Ours here has a lot more spice flavor and from what I've seen is darker.
Manzanita is good stuff... maybe even my favorite.
I grew crimson clover as a cover crop under nut trees one year and that was water white sugar water honey. It was to light for my taste but it made a peach mead that kept us pretty happy for a few months.

Chinese Tallow honey around here---that's the ONLY thing tallows are good for tho.

95% of the honey around here is Alfalfa.. it's pretty boring after a while. I could imagine orange blossom honey being really good :)

Friend of mine is just getting into bees with about 25 hives, planted a couple acres of Alsike clover, supposed to be some of the clearest honey around. I don't know who's great marketing idea it was to 'grade' the honey by color rather than flavor!

We have peach orchards around here and the honey from those orchards is the best I have ever eaten.
