Hog guards for bulk feeders

Anyone have any plans or options to buy direct? Was talking to a guy at the sale barn today that had seen some but didn't know much else about them. I'd like to creep some calves on the river bottom but I can't just drop a feeder off down there because it would be a pig buffet

That's interesting. Cant imagine what keeps a hog out but let's a calf thru.

Some of my most memorable hog hunts were at creep feeders or cattle feeders. I've literally caught hogs inside the panels of the feeder. We had to jump in to kill the pig. They dont usually run far when they are full of feed.

If a calf can get to it a hog can!
I work 365 on trapping and shooting the beast, they are endless.
There is a market for the hogs.

I trap an average of 80 a year off my place and I am loosing the battle.
Hard to win if I walk out the front door and turn left or right is 60 miles of forest in both directions. The deer hunter is supplementing the diet with corn and protein, the sow is healthier and raising bigger litter.
There was 11 in this litter.




I actually think it was 12 as I caught this single the next day. I had shot the sow in the pasture the day before as she didn't want to leave that litter of pigs as well as my JRT was working her over.




There was 8 in this one.



If there is predation it's extremely low mortality rate.
