If you go, check out the cattle at the next ranch north, Day Herefords. He has cattle private treaty year round, it would kill two birds with one stone, and one of his bulls was a favorite at the Oklahoma Hereford Tour at the stop at the location of this sale. I have personally purchased one herd bull, a steer, and three females from him in the past.

We do plan to attend, even though we probably won't stay for the entire sale. I'm mainly interested in how the bulls sell. According to the ad in the OK Cowman, they're selling 250 head of Registered Hereford bulls and cows, plus some commercial females. The catalog can be downloaded at http://www.nationalcattle.com if anyone is interested in seeing what will be sold. Another number for info is the Sale Chairman, Bill Jacobs, 580-622-4426 or -4425.
Whether we take time to look at another Hereford operation will depend on the weather and time. Day will probably be at the sale anyway
At least there used to be several big OK Hereford breeders at the K74 sale when it was held near Sulphur, at Jacobs Ranch.

My post was based on the belief that this sale is at Jacobs Ranch. If it is not, Day's ranch is next one north of Jacobs Ranch.
