how long after do the feet show after water breaks? then if I remember right on cows you help after an hour of feet showing? But what if you don't see feet?

My motto? When in doubt, find out!
In other words, if you are concerned, put her in the chute and check her. The price of calves these days is not worth second guessing. Of course, most of our cows we can walk right up to and stick your hand in to check to see if feet are present while they are in the pasture, so no stress.

it been about 1.5 since water broke , yes she is pushing, contracting about a 1 min, I gently went in up to my wrist could not feel feet. how deep do I go or can I damage anything?

*Clean* hands or/or long gloves (if you have them), you can go up to your shoulder... trust me, you won't reach as far as you'll want to be able to reach, especially if she's a bigger cow.

There should be something REAL soon since she's kinda getting down to business.

thanks for the help. all is good, she had it all on her own. After a couple dead calves and about 2 hours between water bag coming out and seeing feet. then it was 15minutes from feet to birth.

I can tell you its been a bit stressful lately. but we got a live one on the ground
