help!!! My cow is sick

Sorry that happened, what a tough loss. With so many head sick and dead, it seems worth the money to necropsy at least the bull.

And give that neighbor a talking to! Even if my cattle didn't get sick, anybody I caught feeding them would hear about it. That needs to stop, yesterday. Maybe buy him a few bags of range cubes if he's a good neighbor otherwise and enjoys feeding the cows, making sure he knows the proper quantity to give them.

Wow that sucks sorry for your loss. I think I would tell my neighbor no more bread. If he really wants to feed them give him a bucket of cubes

Neighbour shouldn't be feeding your cows... does he dump his lawn clippings over the fence too?

Very large quantities of bread might cause acidosis, esp. if they only get it as an occasional treat and not every day. Just a loaf or two wouldn't do much harm.
btw, if he is offering them garden trimmings there may well be toxic plants mixed in, or toxic moulds in the heap. A surprising number of people are ignorant about how may garden plants and common weeds are poisonous to children and livestock.

I do feed my cows some lawn clippings. It's strictly grass (well, probably includes a bit of crabgrass, dandelions, and such--just a typical unfertilized/untreated lawn). I either give it to them fresh (as I'm mowing) or let it dry a couple days on the lawn (spread out as mowed, then gather it up). I never feed it if it's rained on it, and we have 15 cows so no one cow gets a whole lot of it. This doesn't seem too risky, does it? They love it and come running to the front fence when they hear the mower. We spread it out and make sure none of them gets more than her share.

As others have posted, you should call your vet asap. There is not enough info provided in your post.

Do you have dairy or beef cattle?
What are the temperature of the sick animals?
How old are the sick animals?
etc...
