I am afraid I left the bull in too long and two of my heifers that are 9 months old may have been bred. First, is this possible at their age? Second, if so, do I will ge vet to check them and what is best way to terminate pregnency?

Thanks

I calved an 800 lb. heifer in June. I bought her in March as a replacement heifer, intending to breed her June - Aug. She had a calf June 8th. Not int he plans! He was tiny (thank god) and she had no problems. He turned out fine, but she might be a little worse for wear. I did not re-breed her, because I wanted to move up her calving so she will have some time to recover her weight. I weaned the calf at 4 months. Usually they will hit puberty at 6 months or so and they might cycle a time or two before everything starts going right.
