boy thats a nice red an white heifer . big and growthy for her age. i love the way horns are starting to grow upwards. i wonder if she gonna have twists in them tho. scott

Thanks. I doubt if she will have a twist. I'll post a picture of her mama. I have her mama consigned to a sale in Mt Airy, NC in September. She's a good cow-four years old. I'm keeping this heifer as a replacement.

Picture when heifer was small.

i love the way her mommas horns go out an up. nice horn spann as well. the heifer will make a nice replacement thats for sure . scott

Picture #1 -- IMHO it's sure not a good angle for taking her picture and assessing overall body structure. Have you got another where she is standing fully perpendicular to the camera, but yet looking at you? But appears to have real nice horn growth for her age.

Here's another picture of her-still not great, I could not get her to pose for me. I know she doesn't have the build of a regular beef breed but most of these Longhorns don't unless they have had some other blood brought in. I was trying to get her to put that back leg back but she was ready for her grain and would'nt cooperate.

That looks like a horse in the background to me :|

You know - I think you are right! I think that is a horse. I don't think that I have ever seen a Bull with a tail like that. You are right, TCFC, that is a horse! Now that is beginning to worry me. Mike accused me of not knowing the difference between a 700# Bull and a 1540#+ Cow.  Now I am beginning to think that I am confused concerning Bulls and Horses. Gad! :( Perhaps I need :help: :help:   DOC

P.S. But the heifer!! Ah - the heifer! Now that I do recognize - and a pretty darned good Longhorn heifer she is too! Be able to flip  those 'yotes' clear over a barn one of these days. Good Momma.

You can probably guess what I would say about the heifer. I do like the heifer, though. I think she will turn into a pretty decent cow for you. I do like the young heifer better than mom. I hope that mom sells well for you at the sale.

Good Luck at the sale.

Ryan

Is that Bull in the background a Simmental or Gelpvieh?

I think its a Gelbvieh. I think the color is what gives it away ;-)
