Well I traded a not yet weaned steer for a heifer bred to my bull. She is a Limi x Charolais. She needs some conditioning but overall not bad. Tell me what ya'll think. Did I get burned? She is not wild and pretty easy to work and she feeds out in the sun when by BA cows are laying in the shade. She was a neighbors bottle feeder project after her momma had to be put down from an injury. Her pet name is MooMoo.

I think you made a good trade, of course she don't really fit in with them black cows. Maybe i need to trade you a black one that will fit in better.

Hoss she look's dang good to me course i could be bias since i got a 16 month old heifer that look's a lot like her :)

Red Bull, thanks for the offer but I got a few Red Angus and Red Angus x Limis that she can pal around with :D But if you are just set on getting rid of a black angus heifer just point the truck east and drop her off here.....I always have room :cowboy:

It wouldn't be a black angus Hoss. Still got a few black limis around here but they are on the way out. If a limi ain't red they are crossbred. Soon as i get rid of these few blacks we will be all red.

Nice trade, sir!

Oops, no offence bandit80!

I had to think a little before I got it. :lol2:

Not a bad looking heifer. Slopes off a too much from hooks to pins for my liking, but pretty good overall.

I think that is the Brahman in her. Brahmans seem to have more slope then the other breeds.

I have four heifer calves limi father and char mother, I hope they will turn out this good. Now as calves they are way behind, as the chars are so lousy milkers.

Anazazi you need Limi and Char. semen from over here we have good milk in both breeds.

Limis here are fine as terminals, I had a limi bull for the heifers last year. He gave me five char x calves and four swedish x red calves. Naturally I compared these new cows unequal performance in milking sufficiently, and docked the chars. As they are weaned, the char cross heifers will of course outgrow their red sisters, only to become outdone milkingwise when they calve.

will if there is its very small amount, she has enough "continental blood" , that should have bred out the sloping rear, if it where brahman influenced. Im betting its from the lim.
