heat and reheat?

Normally I see cows in heat for about 2 days between when the bull just starts taking interest and when he wanders off. She usually stands early to mid day 2.

I have one that was in for two days as normal, the bull took a day off, and is back on her hot and heavy again today (day 4). I've not seen her stand though.

How many days can a cow show heat?

If she's cyctic she could be still dithering around not ovulating. Or the bull may be bored since there isn;t any one else in heat and just remembers his last hot piece. If he's a young bull he may have just fallen in love. I saw a young bull do that and ignore cows in heat cause he had the hots for one particular cow, the first one he had ever bred.

May even depend on the weather. When it is hot some cows I do not see in heat at all, but find them all marked up in the morning. In cooler weather usually a couple of days.
