Just for other CT members who may wonder.....the law does NOT allow a person who is carrying a weapon to consume alcohol while in the establishment. If they do they are in violation of the law and can be arrested and prosecuted just like anybody else who illegally carrys a weapon without a permit or while consuming alcohol. I think this is a good thing for tennessee concealed carry permit holders. I know I like to eat in establishments like O'Charleys or Longhorn steak houses where alcohol is also served.

Yeah....I figured that I had better throw it out there or some members will panic and say that it is irresponsible to let people carry guns in bars and get drunk while armed.

I go to Tennesee once a year on vacation with my lady friend and that cracks me up that I have to leave my gun in the car when I go into one the goverment liquor stores to by booze. When I drive through Ohio they have those stupid signs on any store that sells bottled alcohol that you can't carry in there. You people in Ohio and Tennesse gotta get you act together on that deal, a liquor store is a good place to want to carry a gun. And whats up with those goverment liquor stores?
