putting on the roof

got it done took us 6 1/2 hrs to put the roof on not bad for a fatboy, 2 cripples (the guy in the white T-shirt only has one legand the guy in the black jeans has 2 pins in his leg) and a burned out hillbilly

now to get it filled up!!!! hopefully by next weekend

Wish I had two just like it. That crew reminds me of a small town I went to as a kid, seems like everyone there walked with a limp. Kinda makes you want to limp also so you can fit in. I was scared to drink the water.

I always try to keep as much hay inside as I can
this just gives me more storage with this one I should be around 1400 bales under roof

the cost on this barn if spread out over 10 yrs adds up to $3.73 per bale and it should last a lot longer than 10 yrs

barring any weather events or fire it'll last longer than us,

It will definitely make last years hay as good as this years, in some cases even better. It's hard to factor in the weather when figuring the years it would take to pay for it. In our area this year, we haven't had any rain, and you could easily knock two two years off your payback with last years hay.

thats probably a factor you would have to exclude from it,, my first cut would have aleast a six inch layer of waste right now,,, but he$% ive had wind rolled hay rained on and bailed it.. left it out side and got even more rain on em, they looked like black balls of mold and the cows still ate it like it was nothing

yep that D5 looks a little small in there doesn't it

gonna build another one the same size for a machine shed this winter bet it won't be big enugh :lol:
