How much does an average coastal round bail weigh?
As far as I know, there's no such thing as an average bale. I've seen them weighing from 600 pounds to 1,900 pounds. Depends a lot on dimensions. How wide, how tall.

My JD 4x4 round baler would make coastal bales weighing 550 lbs. It was "rated" to make bales weighing 750#

My new JD 4x5 baler makes coastal bales weighing 700#. It is rated to make bales weighing 1200 lbs.

I could bale hay with high moisture content and get heavy bales but they will probably mold.

Don't believe what anyone tells you. Weigh them yourself. More than likely, they don't weigh what the hay sellers or machine manufacturers are telling you.

if your buying the biggest round bales you can get.most weigh 1000 to 1200.but like was said the best way to know if to weigh them.scott
