hay weight, wet vs green

if some round bales that I bought weigh 800 lbs dry, how much did they weigh when they were first baled? they are 4x5 round bales. the guy used a john deere baler. I think 458 model? Oh and its bermuda.
 
depends on the moisture contenet when he baled them...probably anywhere from 900 - 1000 if it were baled at a proper moisture content.

they should lose no more than 10% after baling if they were baled at the proper moisture

there is no white mold in the hay so I guess it was baled correctly.

So at a certain point, moisture content in the bale remains constant or does it continue to decrease over the years until its zero?

Never get to zero but if stored inside moisture will remain pretty constant over time.
