well we went an bought a 4 bale hay van thats locally made.got it for a real good price.how do yall like the hay vans.whats the best way to load them with spears or forks.we will using it to haul hay out of the field.an maybe feed with if its dry enough.

I always thought a van was an enclosed truck so IMO it would be difficult to get hay in it or out of it :lol: :lol:

Not hard at all. Just load em in the side and roll em out the back!

this 1 loads from the side,an unloads from the side when you pull the trip pin.

I have a 40 ft heavy bilt it dumps all at once,but I think the best way to load yours would still be a front spike.It nice that you can unload one at a time and know several people that feed w/them.I bring the cows home for the winter and bale hay several places so mine works best for me,but if you have cows all over and hay in one place they work great.

I think they are great I set mine up on hydraulics that way the wife can haul them
works great
she didn't have a problem unloading them but she couldn't reset the trailer it pulled on her back and after 2 back surgeries I sure don't want her to hurt it again plus when we are moving alot of hay it sure makes it faster just stop dump and go in less than 10 seconds

Do you run that off your bale bed? If I had a bale bed I think that would work slick,I don't have a bad back I'm just lazy.Plus all the jack wads around wouldn't be able to borrow it.

I run it off of my bale bed and since I took the bale bed off of my dodge I am going to mount a hyd pump on it also since we use it to haul hay with instead of the chevy gas rig
a elec over hyd pump will run around $400 but they are very useful in other situations also
like going to the field to move a discbine and realizing you didn't put the stops up and it has floated down and you have NO tractor in the field to raise it with

was easy to do

the bale sitts in the cradle side to side.an the bales weight flipps the cradle.

Not alot of choices with those... you pretty much have to load with a spear on a front end loader.
