Hay rings

Help Support CattleToday:

I'm located in eastern Pa. We got rid of our rings and got what is called a haysaver, it's 8ft wide and 6ft high, you put the bale in the top and it is held in a series of pipes in the shape of a funnel around the outside are pipes on an angle so that they can swing their head out real easy ,there are 20 openings for them to get in. there is very little waste ,much less than with the rings, it is kind of expensive though ($750) it's made up very strong should last along time and should pay for it self with hay saved, I don't know if they would have them in your area ,we picked ours up in western Pa.
