I really like those. Buddy has one that has cattle panel as sort of a floor. It saves even more.

I put it on metal skids if I had it to do over I would have put it on treated lumber skids.
Thinking about cutting the metal skids off this summer as they are starting to look rough
due to the environment they sit in. I plan on welding some ears on the legs and bolt treated
4x4's on. If they start to rot out be easier and cheaper to repair .

Hay would get clogged up in it and keep building up. That inch or two on the round bale they won't eat.
After I pulled it out they will sift through all the good stuff that falls through and leave that inch or so alone.
The rack is low enough they can't get under it so they eat what falls through which isn't much.
That rack has been sitting where it is now for a couple weeks and you can see the bull eating the hay under it.
The rack had two bales in it they have almost ate one and have started on the second.

CB, do you remember the radius that the rods are bent to that hold up the hay. In the pic they appear to be about 3'. I built one out of scrap hay rings and they are too flat.
