I have to small hay fields one is 4 acres and the other is 3 acres.
I got 9 and 1/2 bails off the 2 fields about 5 ton.
is this a good crop or should I get it reseeded?
New to haying. When I was a kid dad told me how to do it so now I'm the one and dad is gone

Where are you located? What kind of grass?
I have a little four acre field that routinely roll's out 20 4x5's on bahia grass.
I had a leased coastal field you could easily get 10 per acre.
Got to know what you are growing and where so we can compare apples to apples.
 
It has some clover orchard grass some blue grass and a little brome grass.
I live in east central MN.
The fields have not had any things done with them for some time it was rented to get what they could.
The ground is clay with not much top soil and a lot of rocks

Average fertility in a mixed upland stand should yield 3.5 tons per season in 2 cuttings. First cutting will be over half - - so 7 acres should yield over 15 tons of first crop.
