I have an old hay elevator. I got the sliding upper end adjustment unsiezed now I need to remove one of the chain links. It looks like if you tip the link up, it should tap out of the slot. Except it wont. Whats the trick? Thanks.

They are and can be quite tricky. I just check mine, some will slide out easier than others. Look for a link that has a wider opening or wider mouth like it has been taken apart before. Otherwise, got to keep the one side still and smack the other link. Once started, you are home free.
