We moved here a year ago. Because of the timing of our move we leased the place to one of the neighbors. BLM requires a three year lease so we made the entire place a three year lease. He paid extra for me to do the irrigation, check cows that winter here, and generally help out where I can. It works good for me so far. I get paid and calf prices don't effect my income.
Anyway he mowed the irrigated fields yesterday. I went fishing. How is the saying? The worse day fishing is better than the best day working. And we had a good day fishing. He has hay to bale and we have fish to eat. I think we got the better end of that deal.
