is it customary to charge the buyer round trip in hauling cattles??? what is the proper and customary protocol for this service??
 
It depends on the hauler whether you are charged by round trip or by loaded mile.

Most of the people I know charge by loaded mile, but if they charged round trip, it would average out the same price per mile. Meaning loaded mile price is higher than round trip.

How much are you being charged?
 
heres what my hauler does.he charges $3 a loaded mile.so that means he charges me $45 to come get cattle.an it could be 1 or a trailer load.

It's got to be worth something.................right?
 
I charge $2 a loaded mile with a fifty dollar min. I don't think it's even worth leaving the house for less than fifty bucks anymore.

you are right that the bred black angus cows were worth the values and the cost of trailer. the distance is about 70miles and charge
me about 150. i was very happy due to his services and he had a bid diesel truck. the values of both pairs black angus were worth more than the usuage due to disposition and young cows.
