Added the lone star to the gate which kinda depicts the State of Texas flag (proportions are not right, but close enough for us and folks driving by to see).

The lone star of the State of Texas flag represents the independent Republic of Texas after gaining independence from Mexico in 1836.

Nine new calves in the picture as they are hard to see as they almost look like cowpiles. Had 20 heifers to have calves and 14 are on the ground with one injured so far. Two baby sitters.

True happiness is a new overflow culvert at the south pond!! The dam was pretty much destroyed during the flood last year; half of it washed away.

This picture makes me happy.
1140 pound mixed breed heifer.
She'll be calving shortly. Most likely bred to my bwf one nut wonder.
Took a while to get her bred. U know the story....
Got a red one just like her.

Cooler temps and plentiful rain makes me happy seeing the cool season grasses bouncing back after a dry hot July!
