If all I had to go after a coyote with was a .22m I would use the 40gr. load

How far are Ya planin on shooting?
How much wind Ya got there?

Truth be told its just a varmint gun
I can't find ammo locally and CB posted the midway link and that was the 2 choices
I figure coyotes would be the biggest targets I'd ever see, but like I said its just one I carry in the pickup

I didn't know which had more force the heavier bullet or the greater speed.
 
I will take the heavier bullet over a few FPS in any gun...

My truck gun is a Marlin 1894 .44m, Works good on dogs and Coyotes...But I really wanna try it on some of these methheads we got runnin wild round here...

I believe that'd do the job but don't think the law would allow
 
That's what I was thinking also but I was thinking in terms of a arrows
I didn't know if the faster bullet may have an advantage in accuracy and the 30 grain be adequate

I carry a 22 WMR in every vehicle I own. I prefer Winchester 40 grain hollow points followed by CCI.
Have taken hog's and every other kind of varmit with that load. I love it for black vultures.

That is one of the reason's I have always favored the big bore 45-70, 44 mag and 32-40 slow heavy and they work.
I love the above 3 for hogs no wondering if you hit one they are either down or you missed.
 
Cross they say they make them I have never seen one at a gun store just the lever guns.
I have a Henry in a lever 22 mag that is one good gun cause I have abused the heII out of it.
It has been run over by the mule fell off in sand the creek you name it. I could disassemble it blindfolded i have had to so many times to clean it. Henry makes a good gun IMO it stays on the mule at all times. The Taurus sits by the backdoor to grab up when needed.
 
Bought a Chipmunk single shot in 22 mag yesterday. It also has a beautiful laminate stock and a Thompson Center 4X scope. It is the smallest 22 mag rifle I have ever seen.
