Grass I.D. ?

I have seen this come up now and then. It seems to be a warm season species. Anybody know what it is?

Kind of looks like redtop.

Looks like what I call grease grass, which may be the same thing as redtop. The stem and tops are waxy/slick feeling, hence the name.

It does appear to be Redtop. I have a Wyoming rangeland plants book that I found again. It is actually a cool season grass and usually in irrigated areas. This one was in the uplands a quarter mile from the meadow and definitely a dry site.

Johnson grass and red top are similar in overall appearance. You can't confuse the two of them here though. Johnson Grass will stand 6-9 feet tall and red top will stand 16-30 inches tall. Grease grass may be a possibility as I've heard and seen pictures and am not sure about the area.
