We recently weaned a heifer calf where she was just on grass. Now that shes been weaned she has developed a big belly on her. My question is what are the effects of this at a salebarn and is this a normal thing to happen?
the buyer's will dock you for shrinkage big time for one like that. best if you can get her up a few days before sale on some hay let that belly shrink down. they had rather buy one a little slab sided than pay for that extra weight that will be gone when she arrives ...where ever
