We have 10 calves coming next monday . They are hol x angus ,bulls and heifers 5 to 8 days old . We will start em with milk replacer for 50 days , and would put them on grain asap to bring em in the 300 weight and from there be sold to be finish at 8 to 900 lbs. So we are looking for a good grain recipe to make them grow

A high quality textured (sweet feed) Calf Starter..18% protein minimum. Won't hurt to have it medicated with Deccox or Bovatec.

So far so good ......no lost .Our calf starter is 20%

Even better. Glad you could find it. Hard to fine anything around here higher than 18%.
Same here. I was glad to be able to find even 16%.
But, I could go up to Sulphur Springs and get just about anything I wanted. All the little "El Rancho Grande" goat ranchettes and horse hobbyists have ruined this area for cattle supplies and feeds. Feed stores just don't stock or order much besides 12% creep feed or range cubes.
