Got my AI tank today.

I've been using an old 10 liter tank to hold my semen, I'd have to refill the nitrogen every two weeks. I talked to the Select Sires rep that I get my semen from and he had an MVE SC 20/20 for sale. He said it would hold for 18+ weeks and would guarantee it for a year. Picked it up today along with some Angus semen so I can breed my Longhorns.

Now I don't have to constantly worry about running out of nitrogren so often.

Thats good. Never need to open it and find out 1000 bucks or more may be ruined.

Yes, I know what you mean about not checking it. The little old tank (10 liters) that I was using ran dry over Christmas last year. Good thing that I old had a couple of straws left. The semen rep will be stopping every 16 weeks, that's been his schedule on the tank before I got it. He'll guarantee the tank and semen for the first year. I will be checking it every couple of weeks just in case though.
