Got Mud?

Lots an lots of it. We have had good temps in the 60s and that has had the wheat growing and we really needed that to make for the extra cold we had. This comeing week the temps are going to be lower so no new growth.
 
We got plenty of mud cause the ground is just saturated. They are calling for more rain tonight. Possibly 4 inches but I don't think it will happen. Temp has been nice.
 
We've got plenty! We got a lot of snow this year, now we are having our January thaw and it's melted. They scraped the gravel off our road keeping it open when the snow was drifting so it's soft mud now, too. The cornfield across the road from our house looked like a lake for a couple of days. We had used squares of concrete from an old sidewalk to make "stepping stones" to get to the hydrant and stock tank, now one of them has sunk out of sight.

We have to go a 100 miles to get rocks, the term I could to best describe it would get locked or deleated so let me just say it be up to a body part on a rather tall Native American.
 
We've got mud everywhere, I'll be gald when it refreezes. I need to haul manure again for about 2 days.

Mucked up pretty bad here. Having to use the tractor to get the trailers out of the barn lot right now. Having to rotate where we feed out round bales every few days to keep the cows from gettin marred up when they go to eat. Looks like they're callin for more rain and cooler temps this coming week. Thankful we've at least had warmer temps the last few days. Hope this rain will keep up this spring.

It's pouring here right now, been raining since this morning. All this rain on top of the snow runoff makes for some of the sloppiest ground that I can ever remember. But since it's been dry for the past 3 or 4 years and my memory sucks take that as you will...

Now if we can only moderate this moisture out into summer that'd be another story.
 
Plenty of rain but little mud. A whole bunch of slush every where. I trie to get a good snow pack on our driveway so i wold not push the rock off andfhave toe replace it, that works fine until we get an inch of rain and 35 degree weather and then it becomes slush. The slush inthe pastures where I feed the cows is 18" deep except for their paths and where I clean and bed for them. But I am sure it will get muddy in April when I calf. But by then they will be on stockpiled pasture.

around here we are like you mud can only get as deep as the rocks

but what I don't under stand is that we can have sloppy mud deep enough to bury a truck and you can go back this summer and try and drive a fence post and hit solid rock 3 inches down in the exact same spot

AC, the answer to that is simple. Those are called murphy's sex rocks.
 
Mud is not bad anymore. Pastures aren't squishy anymore and are trying to green up. Rained once this month for about 3 days but was cloudy and damp for about 2 weeks.
 
No we have SNOW as usual... Its raining now but its freezing so it won't do anything but make a mess of the roads. :roll:
 
At this time I could ponder all day and could not think of a dirty word that describes how sick I am of the mud. The pond overflow is draining at it's maximum and the driveway still washed out. I tried to make it passable with red dirt and only created more mud. When it dries up I am going to get a transit and clay gravel then pour concrete over the low spot so in the future the excess rain water will have a spillway. If anyone has a better idea, please let me know. I am in total distress and yes I prayed for rain.

i bought a JD with loader 2 months ago,, used it for the first few hours i unloaded it, and that was it,,, it better be nappin good while it can,,cause im gonna give it a work out when it dries up
