The picture doesn’t do it justice his horns touched each side of the trailer if he was standing straight in the box. They sure turned heads at the stockyard but bet they didn’t bring much. I have more to haul later this week if somebody wants a conversation piece!

Nice! Hope he brought decent for you. How old was he? Bet he could have made Swiss cheese out of a canvas top trailer.

I was just a hauler so don’t know how old they were. That steer was the biggest I hauled today, but there is one left that size or bigger. I am sure they didn’t bring much but I didn’t stay and watch the sale. Nobody else would haul them out of fear for their trailer roof. Canvas would definitely be playing with fire, aluminum wouldn’t be impossible but I risked it.

I'm tied up all week but I'm betting they don't bring much at Blackstone.. maybe Sky will buy them
Yeah they don’t bring much anywhere unless somebody is looking for a wall decoration. There is a pretty good looking black and white bull that is young left and I think a couple of cows. I can stay for the sale and hook you up in the pasture ornament business! I will even meet you half way for the delivery if you buy dinner!

I know a young guy who buys those ones with good wide horns cheap. Makes hamburger out of the cows and has a market for the horns. Some of the bigger horns he says he makes as much or more for the horns as he does for the hamburger.

Wish I could make that happen. I would love to be there and bid against Sky on them.

Maybe next time Kenny.

A set of horns like was on that one would bring $2,500 to 3,000 pretty easy here finished out. Takes a little doing to get them there though.
