Could be a long few days. Thankfully not a lot cows left to calve, but it may seem like it before the weather breaks.

My gosh I dont envy that!
So glad for warmer weather here...
We are all done cept 1 heifer. I really dislike checking cows in the snow and ice. The wind on top of it is what I really hate.
Start over again late summer, then with any luck, we can try and tighten things up this next time.
Best of luck! And stay warm n dry

Last week a guy turned out a bunch of stockers up on the ridge between here and town. No green grass, just left over last year's grass. This morning it is snowing up there. I bet they aren't packing on the pounds today.

Sunday neighbor B was commenting on this and figuring out what he could turn out. He is feeding a semi load of hay a day and sure would like to go to grass. Today I think he is better off feeding.
