Good book.
After going through all he went through in combat, when he got home some low lifes shot and killed his dog. They had nothing better to do for entertainment.

marcus was arrested in new york

he gets to the hotel and decides to go down to the bar and have a beer, wearing jeans, boots and a t-shirt with a texas flag on it.
he's standing at the bar having a beer and guy comes up to him and taps him on the shoulder says "hey cowboy"
marcus turns around and the guy has a heavy accent wearing a tight white shirt with the collar turned up and sunglasses(inside a bar).
the guy says your from texas ?
and marcus says yes i am
the guys says thats where your presidents is from.
marcus says yes he is.
then the guy begans to run down america and bush and so on.
so marcus turns around and tries to ignore the guy, but the guys taps him on the shoulder and says hey cowboy do you hear me ? you americans are going down.
(remember marcus is 6'5" 250 lbs and a navy seal)
marcus said before he knew it, he had the guy by the collar and was making his way outside with him.
in the words of marcus
"theres two ways to make a guy change the way he feels about you. you can catch him on fire or you can slap him"
marcus said this guy was the prettiest man he had ever seen so he didn't hit him with his fist, he just worked him over good with an open hand.
so security shows up and marcus spends the night in jail.
