Good price?

That depends on a lot of factors.

Are the cows bred back? Open?
How old are the cows?
What condition are the cows in? the calves?
Do you know where they are coming from? what kind of breeding program? vaccination program?

I'm sure there are more things to consider, too.

But if you break it down: 2 cows 2 calves: 4 animals: $500 a head. If they are healthy and in decent enough condition i would take a chance.

first thing that comes to mind is why are they selling them ?need more info .how much do cows weigh ? and weight on calves?

I'm new to cattle and was wandering what these terms ment.
if you have time please fill me in

Thank You

Bred back = bred and carrying another calf since she had the current calf. That's sometimes referred to as a 3-in-1. One price for a cow with a calf at side and one inside.

Open = not bred.
