My beautiful daughter in law just gave birth to twins yesterday, Agery Grace and Reid. They were on the small side Girl was 6 lbs 11 oz and bow 7 lbs and 4 oz, all are doing well. Avery Grace is as pretty as she could be and Reid is a rough and tumble boy ( and pretty too but in a boyish way).
This is a new adventure for me, I had two boys, and until yesterday had two grand sons< Porter and Will. I am not sure how to treat a delicate little girl. She will have her Beba wrapped around her little finger I suspect.
Porter said she will be a barrel racer and Reid will be a Bull rider or a team roper. Porter is six.
Well, forgive an old man for bragging, but I just had to share with my friends.

PS I call her Avery Grace, everyone else calls her just Avery. Its a Southern thing.
 
Someone once told me the good thing about being a grandparent is, "you can get the grand kids all sugared up, and then hand them over to their parents and let them deal with putting them to bed"...LOL

Great news. Those weights are great for twins btw. I have twins, they are a lot of fun. Especially when there little. They attract a lot of attention.
 
Judge, I woukldn't take it as braggin...just letting folks know what is happening in your world. :nod:

Name Avery Grace sounds good to me (Southern is the proper way to be ;-) ) with maybe something like "Ava" as a call name for convenience.

Roping is great and a lot easier on the physical mechanism.(Don't ask how I know. :help: )
But let the kid make his own choice.

Congratulations, two at a time. The parents wont get much sleep.

Have Reid be a calf roper or a bronc rider. Team ropers whine too much and bull riders aren't the brightest bulbs in the package.
 
Congrats--some of the best time of my life has been with the grand thugs--I mean grand kids..and 5 of the 8 are girls.
You'll enjoy having a grand daughter i guarantee!
