50s and 60s the last week. Slight chance of occasional scattered flurys has turned into 10 degrees and an inch plus of snow!

I will never complain again about the mild winters. :D

I hope that in the future we don;t look back on this one as being mild!
 
Dun, the greatest thing about the May snow last year, we got 6-8" was everyone thought NO MUSHROOMS. Had been too cold up to that point around here. After the snow melted the morels were everywhere. I'm talking in pastures, in crp ground, in timbers, just anywhere you wanted to look. Sara and I saw I don't know how many one day driving on a gravel road. We were traveling along and Sara said, "Stop, back up." There were about of an acre of mushrooms, could see them from the road, 6" tall, in what looked like a wild plum thicket. Asked Sara if she wanted them, she said heck no, got more than I want. Snow in May can have 1 advantage. gs

They haven;t gotten to the snow estimates for us yet. Just that it's snow on friday (maybe ice instead) and even more snow (maybe ice) on sunday

Me too. Glad I have a barn full of hay, enough to carry us through the summer
 
I swear I'm not making light of ya'll winter but even in florida I'm ready to get things back to normal. we have had a week and half of high 60s to middle 70's. Peach trees are in bloom, pecans are budding, wild cherry and sweetgums have small leaves and the rain started at 3am this morning with a cold front coming in. (I know this because I had a cow out this morning at 2:30am) they are saying we are going to be in the upper 20's in the morning. I even got real grass starting and hopefully it doesn't hinder it to bad cause I am nearly out of hay(I do have a backup plan) I am longing for some 70 deg nights and 90 deg days.
 
M5, I was thinking the same thing. Our rye grass came on good and the tiff-9 is making a showing. This will set everything back, but at least it isn't supposed to snow again. I think everybody is ready for spring this year.
 
I remember from my days in the north land that now was the time that cold grey days started weighing on me. Sorry to all of you, I won't even tell you what the weather was here.
 
Your spring has gotta be near. Sun rising an hour later here, last couple of mornings have been really chilly - it's happening. Can't say I'm looking forward to it :o
 
The temps this week, are crazy in Kentucky for late February. Spring should have been showing its face in a couple weeks, three at the most.

Spring is near alright but it's past. Last week the weather was mild and springy, now it's crap and wintery
