the cost analysis of young heifers to bred versus bred cows-see my old post or other member post. when i was a newbie, i had a lot questions and thanks goodness i had great advices from experienced members. i would look at other members old post questions that help me a great deal. these advises help me navigate my interests and minimizes and prevent the same mistakes. thanks to the many members with their great advises.
 
:cowboy: I've gotta second that motion usc . I had a mentor near by hear he passed away last march . He would tell me all the ups and downs and joke about the dumb things I would try like all of you do, thanks. :cboy:
 
in any hobby or business, you learn from people that would guide you. without this board and my neighbor, it would be a disaster to invest in cow/calf production. there is a learning curve in regard to the health and the maintenance of your cow/calf production.
since the profit margin is small to medium, can't afford to make mistake and throw money down the gutter. but, the cow/calf production is better than placing your money in equities where it is unstable and unsecured. it is better than mutual funds because you doubles each year and you could manage and control your costs and approximate your profits. good luck. usc, man lakers is getting cream by oak thunder.. it is only one game.
